Balayya's 100th movie Gautamiputra Satakarni first look poster and story .

The story of India’s greatest warrior emperor, Gautamiputra Satakarni movie’s first look poster has been released which is grabbing several eyeballs. It is an historic upcoming drama in which Balayya will be seen in the role of warrior King. Krish is planning war episodes on a grand scale as he has got the experience of shooting war scenes in his latest directorial venture Kanche. Bollywood actress Hema Malini will essay the role of Rajmatha, Gautami Balashri. The detail of cast and crews will be announced on the launch day of the movie which will take place today on 22nd April. The movie will be produced by Rajiv Reddy and Sai Babu under first frame entertainment whereas the music will be scored by DSP.

A Brief History About Gautamiputra Satakarni on Whose Life Krish Is Making A Film

1) It was during the first half of the 2nd century A.D. that the Satavahana power once again rose into eminence in the South. The man of destiny this time was a king named Gautamiputra Satakarni. By his achievements as a conqueror and as an able administrator he raised the prestige of the Satavahana Dynasty to new heights and came to be regarded as its greatest monarch.


2) Gautamiputra Satakarni was the greatest of the Satavahana rulers. His parents was Gautami Balashri and Sivasvati Satakarni. He is credited to have ruled for 24 years.

3) Gautamiputra Satakarni, took to the throne after his father. Satakarni had earlier expanded the Satavahana Empire and gained considerable prosperity due to his two Ashwamedha sacrifices (Yagnas).

4) When Gautamiputra ascended the throne, the Satavahana Empire was loosely attached and was facing the threats of foreign invasions from Sakas and Yavanas. Gautamiputra defeated the Yavanas, Sakas and Palavas and re-established the ancient glory of the Satavahanas.

5) His is most famous for his outstanding victory over the Saka ruler Nahapana, whose kingdom is from Malwa, Gujarat and Rajasthan regions.

6) He conquered Anupa, Assaka, Vidhrabha, Aparanta, Kuntala, while Kurka annexed to his kingdom, his empire comprised of Godavari region, Konkan, Gujarat, Malwa. His empire expanded from from Arabian sea in the west, to Rajaputana in the North, to Bay of Bengal in the west and Cuddalore in the South.

7) He took several steps to benefit the peasant population of his country and to improve the condition of agriculture. He was also a ruler of humanitarian attitude to help the poor and the needy. On the whole, during his liberal monarchy, the people lived in peace and enjoyed prosperity.

8) He was also mentioned as the ‘Lord of the Western Vindhyas’. Proud of his power, he styled himself as the ‘Raja-Raja’ or the King of Kings, and as the ‘Maharaja’. After a long reign, this King died in 104 A.D.
