Vijay's recent comments on thigh-slapping have been quoted out of context and pointed as his attack on Balakrishna by some. Responding to it, Vijay made it clear, "Balakrishna is a great actor. He has more than thigh-slapping. He dances, he performs, he mouths dialogues. I've a great respect for him."

Vijay added that thigh-slapping cannot be attributed to any particular actor any kinda films, but it has been there in Telugu films from the time immemorial and said mostly seen in Rayalaseema films. Vijay gave the above clarification in a TV interview and he gave it in his own way. 

In fact, Vijay taken on the TV channel and its anchor very smartly. Support poured in on for Vijay online for his plain attitude where as the channel and its anchor are trolled.
