As MAA lifts ban, RGV eulogizes Sri Reddy

Those who're caught unaware, Telugu actress Sri Reddy is grabbing the eyeballs with one shocking revelation about casting couch in the South film industry at a time. After the protest, the MAA chose to ban Sri Reddy and refused to give her membership. Some reports claim that Sri Reddy met director Teja some days ago and he offered her a role in his movies. The list includes Sekhar Kammula, who was accused of casting couch, Sreeram Chandra who was accused for sending the actress lewd messages and Abhiram Daggubati, who was accused of cheating and sexually exploiting her. "This Suresh Babu's son took me to the studio and f****d me so badly in the studio only", Sri Reddy said in an interview. She shared the screenshots on Facebook and captioned it, "Look at our Indian idol chat.shame on u sri ram.remove Sri ram from ur name.u r not worth to have it". However, she doesn't reveal any names, but only refers to him as Suresh Babu's son. The screenshot of her chat has gone viral on social media, much like the previous screenshots and pictures. The acclaimed producer reportedly asked him to tell Sri Reddy not to reveal the photographs of his son.

Sri Reddy Mallidi is the recent popular name which is doing rounds in the compound of Tollywood. To this, the actor says,"But what is the use, you are not giving me the chance". He described the allegations as cheap tactics to embarrass film personalities who have become "soft target". "Her courageousness to strip to get attention towards the casting couch exploitation managed to raise the attention of NHRC and this is an fantastic achievement. Truth must prevail. legal action follows!" On April 8, Sivaji Raja had firmly announced that the 900 artists from the film industry would not act in any film with her following her semi-naked protest in front of the film chamber the previous day. Kangana stated that there are many possible ways to fight these kind of issues and stepping into this particular path would hurt sensitive people in the film industry.

Maverick director Ram Gopal Varma has voiced his support to Sri Reddy. He tweeted, "Casting couch existed ever since the advent of Cinema a 100 years back ..Not getting into individual allegations Sri Reddy has drawn more attention to the evils of Casting Couch than anyone in the last 100 years and I salute her for that."

He further wrote, "Those who thought @MsSriReddy was wrong in stripping can’t deny, its only that shock which woke up both national and international communities ..Sri Reddy’s mother should be proud of what her daughter achieved for film industry in general and aspiring actresses in particular.
